This month, our Cubs participated in a Cyber Safety Assembly! Students learned three important ways to stay safe online:
Protect Your Privacy: Never share personal information online.
Speak Up: If something online doesn't feel right, tell a trusted adult.
Be Kind: Treat others online with the same kindness and respect you show in person.
Family Challenge: Take a few minutes to talk with your child about these important safety tips!
CUBS ARE: Caring, United, Brave, Successful

Our halls at WBE are filled with vibrant student artwork! Each month, a parent volunteer visits our classrooms to guide students through an art project inspired by the style of a famous artist. These lessons give students the opportunity to learn about different artists and create their own masterpieces!
A huge shoutout to all the amazing parents, guardians, and PTA members who volunteer their time to teach these lessons. Our students LOVE the Great Artists program.

Creative Minds at Work in S.T.E.A.M
Our third graders put their imaginations and creativity to work in S.T.E.A.M. class! Students used interlocking shapes to design and create their own unique characters, a road, a depiction of the four seasons, and a rainbow. There is no shortage of creativity in third grade!
Who knows…we may have some future engineers, designers, artists, or robotics club members in the making!

This year, students are focusing on a different CUBS attribute each month. September’s focus is belonging! To kick off the month, students attended a special assembly featuring some very special guest performers—their very own teachers and principals! It was a fun way to introduce the importance of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and included.
We’re excited to build a strong sense of belonging throughout our school community and make sure every student knows they have a place here.

Fifth-grade students went on a field trip to the landfill, sewer district, and Weber Basin Water District. During their visit, they learned how water is treated, how recycling works, and how wastewater can be reused to generate power for the sewer plant and even be turned into compost—proving that no matter what goes down the drain it can come back in pretty amazing ways.
